To whom it may concern:

I am a small investor who owns shares in multiple small cap mining companies in the precious metals, base metals, and uranium sectors. It is my contention that my chosen sectors have for some time experienced a preponderance of naked short selling. The effects on investors and companies have been extremely damaging. I am at a loss to explain why with rules already on the books against this activity, the SEC has been ineffective in protecting investors such as me.

It was with great interest that I read news stories detailing the SEC's concerns about naked short selling of American financial companies during their recent troubles.

I sincerely hope that the SEC's attention to naked short selling will not be confined to this one sector. I hope any regulatory action will have a positive effect on all sectors and that the criminals who have damaged my investments will be punished equally.

Thank you,

Gregory Z. Vance
