Naked short selling is already illegal and should be stopped, for ALL short transactions, effective IMMEDIATELY. Three days is more than sufficient to produce the borrowed shares. To continue to look the other way and leave a vital law unenforced is to undermine the integrity of the US share market: share counterfeiting should not be winked at. Please do your duty and jail the malefactors or just announce to all that the shares they are purchasing may not really exist.
