Volume based discounts should be completely outlawed. Brokers who don’t receive substantial rebates are incentivized to not provide best execution to their customers in an attempt to make more profit. This creates an unleveled playing field for household investors using smaller brokers. Gary Gensler you da man! Keep going sir, hats off to you.
