October 31, 2022 Predatory shorting is detrimental to the market as a whole, and only benefits those with already obscene amounts of capital. We need more transparency in markets to find bad actors who choose to abuse the rules. Obviously retail takes the short end of the stick here. More transparency into short selling activities is necessary to inform retail investors so they can make wise investments.
