As an individual retail investor, I strongly support the Commission's proposed changes to Exchange Act Rule 10c-1 to increase transparency. Please know that I am not a speculator or a trader but rather just an everyday, working American investing for the future of my family. When I hear the big fish in the pond clamoring this change will increase cost, create undue burden, and will have unintended consequences, the alarm bells in my head start sounding. Those in opposition of this rule change are the largest and most capable of using defects in the trading system to prey on the small everyday investor. I liken this change to installing street lights on a dark alley, an alley that I do not traverse. However, the damage do to those (and the associated companies) that walk that alley on their own accord affects the entire investing community, especially the everyday investor. I'm not for additional red-tape but transparency is tantamount to fairness.
