Inability to understand the quantity of short selling in the market (and short-term changes) means certain groups have greater information and there is a lack of context around the market price of a particular security.
Retail investors are underserved by the current reporting requirements which means there is lack of context to price discovery, and creates an unlevel playing field between institutional and retail investors.
