 To the SEC,

I am a retail investor, or as the Street likes to call it, \"dumb money.\" I don't have the luxury of being able to play with other people's money, so over the years, I have had to make do with the tried and true old fashioned way: by working hard in order to accumulate enough money so that I, too, could invest in my favorite companies and meaningfully participate in the American stock market.

Therefore, I hope you understand how discouraging and infuriating it is to watch institutions be able to consistently exploit loopholes in the existing market structure, unfairly skewing the balance of the free-and-fair markets in their favor at the expense of the American people.

This needs to end, and it needs to end now.

I demand the SEC to shine a spotlight on the opaque shadows of the American markets, and enforce greater acts of transparency to ensure that the playing field becomes level once again for ALL players, not just the privileged few:

We need to enforce transaction-by-transaction reporting, period. No more hiding under the false pretense of \"aggregates.\"

We need to enforce 15-minute reporting requirements, backed by substantial penalties as deterrence. No more slap-on-the-wrist fines.

We need to significantly curtail the influence of short sellers, so that American businesses have a fighting chance at doing what they do best: creating jobs, supporting the economy, and setting the standard for the rest of the world to follow. Of course, short-sellers will argue that what they are doing is enforcing natural market mechanics -- the problem is that their very intervention destroys competition and price discovery, the bedrock of a free-and-fair market. The fact that American short hedge funds can cripple unsuspecting American businesses through predatory tactics, on the basis that the hedge funds simply \"know better\" than every one else, is profoundly disturbing.

It is time to bring Wall Street into the light. Full transparency backed by full accountability.

The American people have had enough.
