Dear SEC,
I'm for greater transparency in allowing the public to know who has lent stocks.

As an individual investor I'm dismayed by the lack of transparency in general, by the prevalence of short attacks that are orchestrated by hedge funds, by the employment of trolls to short and distort, by the concerted manipulation that brings off illegal distortion campaigns for short attacks without consequence. It matters to me to know who lends shares as one small step in cutting through comments and interests. I'd like greater transparency. I'd also like to see the SEC beef up its investigation of illegal shorting and distorting practices that are so routine now as to be an open secret.

Thanks,
James
