I have started seriously investing about a two years ago. I became passionate interested in how markets work and play a vital role in our economy. The more I researched to more disturbed I became. It quickly becomes blatantly obvious that corrupt people in position of power are brazenly abusing their positions for their own gain through complex mechanisms that most people do not understand. One of the most sickening parts of this is coming to the realization of long these various abuses have been happening and how the SEC and federal government have done little to nothing to effectively fix these problems and hold the abusers responsible. This type of abuse is particularly insidious because it is at the top level of our economy and toxically seeps out into all people's lives directly or indirectly. It is like cancer to our society. Increasing transparency of securities lending is of the up most importance in bringing some efficiency back to the markets. If you would like specific examples supporting the claims above I would be happy to provide them.
