I believe the reporting of short interest is vital information for there to be a level playing field for any one person to be involved in the investment of their hard-earned money. I applaud you for addressing this issue. Too long have financial industry insiders gotten away with the crime of naked short selling. And they do this because of the lack of reporting rules. Too often business are absorbed into oblivion. Businesses that are in a hit list of market insiders. They do it to make a buck for their wealthy clients while legitimate businesses are shuttered, putting their workers on the unemployment line. And they dont do it for the markets benefit. They do it maliciously to squeeze as much profit for themselves and once successful, never have to pay a cent in taxes on their gains. Criminal.
The passing of this initiative is just the first step. You must be always on the watch, for these ruthless considers will surely find workarounds. Thank you for your time.
