June 7, 2022 As an investor, I am writing to express my strong support for the Securities and Exchange Commissions (SEC) proposed rule to require publicly-traded companies to disclose climate-related financial risk information (S7-10-22). I am very aware of climate change and the historical tendency of corporations and businesses to extract and exploit the Earth's resources without regard to the damage caused to natural systems. We are in an unprecedented time when this man-made damage is causing the Earth's climate to change. Investors and the public need to know what risks companies face in their basic business models, their facilities and their supply chains due to our changing climate. This knowledge is required for investors to understand their financial risk when supporting a company.
