Reducing 12b1 fees will ultimately reduce the level of service clients will receive. Financial advisors like myself are independent contractors and need the fee revenue to maintain current client relationships. If fee revenue were reduced or eliminated, we would be force to focus on only acquiring new clients and less focus on our existing clients. Especially clients with smaller account balances.
