A mutual fund investor always has the choice of investment to use--if he doesn`t like the price structure or service, he can choose a different fund. Personal service is an invaluable commodity but is not free. Why not assume that we are professional investment advisors who inherently have the best interests of the client in mind? Leave the 12b-1`s alone and focus on the Bernie Madoff`s of this world who are violating the rules and generating mistrust in my profession.
