I feel that you should leave the commision schedule as it stands. By allowing brokers to set their own commisions you start getting people to make decisions based on commision instead of quality of product or service they will receive. IF an agent/broker cuts their commision to get the sale what reason does he have to service the account properly. There is also a good chance that the broker will try and make up for lost commision by selling another product or service that is not showing the commision he receives and it could well be an inappropriate sale tacked on only to provide the extra income to the broker.
