Honestly Gentlemen, why the rush in pushing this legislation through? Is the stock market so slow that we need to create a new monopoly on an already well managed market?
This proposal does not add protection to consumers and in fact, opens them to a self-serving group that exists on compounded commissions and earnings who may undoubtedly use these safe, guaranteed savings instruments as a personal income haven when times are hard or a leveraging tool to foster additional speculative sales when the market is bullish.

Honestly, this does not serve the best interest of the public at large nor the fine companies and agents who have managed these highly regulated programs so well, for so long.

Please re-think what is being asked for here and withdraw this proposal.
