I have been an insurance agent for 10 years, have written many annuities and never had a complaint or unfavorable review from any of my clients on the products they purchased. As a reputible person/agent, I have relied upon the advice and information of experienced financial advisors regarding suitability of annuities for my clients. I do not feel that fixed annuities should fall under the umbrella of variable annuities or securities. I do feel that each agent should be held responsible for our actions and oversight would not be a bad thing.
