Something needs to be done to stop bankers from gambling with other people's money.  The crash of 2008 affected just about everyone (except "the rich".
Shareholder should be able to get money back from banks when it was swindled/squandered by bankers. It should be gotten back from the bankers themselves who lost it in the first place, but still got their bonuses in the meantime.

If it turns out that the profits in a given year were built on shoddy practices that become clear in the out-years, those bonus payments should be forfeited.
