I agree with this proposal and think any attempt to put authority into the hands of the shareholders who have a stake in the company and whose tax money contributed towards the relief of the company is excellent. To all who oppose this amendment, please take into consideration that this is merely for those companies that received the TARP money. These companies, while still repaying the money borrowed, need some sort of regulation on compensation of executives. History over the past year has proved this. Using shareholders in order to accomplish this is simply giving the power back to the people most invested in the company.
