I support this rule. As a household investor, I have concerns about the stability of the markets. Brokerages have a proven record of taking on irrisponsible amounts of risk knowing that they're unlikely to ever face consequences from regulators or authorities should things go south. Forcing them to report daily is an improvement, though I wonder why these computations cannot be done continuously, it'll be data streams that brokerages will already be utilising internally. I'd encourage The Commission be extremely dubious of any bleating these entities make about reporting requirements being burdensome. Shine a light on these people, the amount of secrecy afforded to large financial entites is astonishing given that it's their activity which apparantly underpins the entire market. If they can operate without oversight then they will take stupid risks, again, and will plunge us all into economic oblivion, again. The SEC's current trend of pushing rules to increase transparency is laudable. Thanks for Reading.
