Sirs
I endorse the attached comment of The Shareholder Commons.
The SEC should also:
- Require N-PX filing in close to real-time.
- Require voting records to be posted on fund websites within 5 days after meetings for which votes are cast.
- Encourage funds to announce their proxy votes in advance of meetings by posting the sites that do so on the SEC’s education website, Investor.gov. This will not only encourage fund competition around voting but will also help retail and small institutional investors decide how to vote.
