Re: File Number S7-10-22 — Comment Against SEC Climate Disclosure Rule

Dear Securities and Exchange Commission,

I am writing in opposition to the SEC's climate disclosure rule (File Number S7-10-22, "Enhancement and Standardization of Climate-Related Disclosures for Investors").
This rule would unacceptably increase the regulation on public companies. The federal government's regulations are already excessive — this one would severely worsen it.
Furthermore, this rule is illegal. The SEC has no authority under federal law (much less under the Constitution) to impose climate-change related regulations on private entities.
Also, requiring companies to disclose emissions is a dangerous step toward a federal social credit score. It is un-American to socially ostracize or punish companies because they don't adopt a radical leftist or environmentalist outlook.
The SEC's rule is inappropriate and dangerous, which is why oppose it.

Sincerely,
Mr. Douglas Dolleman
