To Whom It May Concern: We were energy independent until January 20, 2021, when president Biden signed an executive order to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline. President's administration has waged a war on American energy companies despite that fact that American energy is produced in a more environmentally clean way. President Biden's administration has now proposed new SEC regulations which would require public companies to report their various impacts on "climate change." This new regulation would require these companies to pay huge new costs for producing their product and enable the ESG lobby to bully these companies. Lawyers and accounts would reap huge revenues for helping these companies to comply with these regulations. These companies already are required to report "material risks," which includes the area of climate change. This will require these companies to shift resources to compliance instead of to innovation and job creation. This will destroy American competitiveness in the world and make us dependent on foreign countries for our energy needs and make us vulnerable to those countries' leaders whims and demands.
