Regarding the SEC proposed rule for Climate-Related Disclosures for Investors. Do not pass anything that requires added expenses on corporations you already ask for far too much information. Now you want to burden them further on a subject that is not even proven to be a problem. Yes we need to keep our environment as clean as possible but we can not afford to put added burdens on corporations and run them out of business. If we truly have climate change that is a problem why is it that when we break a temperature record it may be from 1965 or 1948. Weather goes through cycles and things change every day, that does not mean we should all be driving electric cars. In Texas we can’t figure out how to keep up with our current electrical use how in the hell are we going to keep up with it when we have 10,000,000 cars that need to be plugged in for hours at a time to recharge?? What are we going to do with the millions of used batteries this is going to create, we have a hard enough time getting rid of the small 12 volt batteries we use today to start our vehicles. Most folks can’t afford to purchase electric cars today, what is going to happen to them when three or four years from now they are told they need to replace the batteries in their car to the tune of another $10,000.00??? Wake up America, clean up the use of fossil fuels and let’s keep moving. If we spent one fourth as much on developing cleaner burning engines as we do on renewable energy we would be way ahead!!! Have a Blessed Day, Marvin
