Dear Chair Gary Gensler,

We are all affected by climate change whether we acknowledge that or not, and the situation continues to worsen steadily toward crisis with corporations in charge of compliance. We need to give the owners of those companies better information so that they can more accurately pinpoint large contributors to this crisis.

Companies need to report climate-related risks due to them, including some standardized metrics that will enable shareholders and citizens to compare one company's performance to another's. An increasing number of shareholders are in favor of such reporting. The proposed SEC rule in file S7-10-22 is a good place to start.

While details are TBD, scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions reporting is what we need.

Sincerely,

Sincerely,
Gordon Pedersen
