Dear Chair Gary Gensler,

I enthusiastically support Proposed Rule S7-10-22: Enhancement and Standardization of Climate-Related Disclosures for Investors.

Averting climate catastrophe is critical otherwise mounting instability and disruption in our financial and economic systems will overwhelm us. The implementation and enforcement of a strong rule gives investors the necessary tools to protect investments and hold companies accountable for reducing heat-trapping emissions.

I applaud the SEC for exercising its mandate ensuring investors and the public have access to science-based information about the very real risks that will undoubtedly negatively affect investments. Climate crisis has far-reaching impacts across our society. Data about its likely effects on companies’ assets and the long-term business outlook is imperative. Investors depend upon it to make informed decisions, protect assets and the wellbeing of our economy.

Please pass a strong climate disclosure rule as soon as possible.

Sincerely,
Ms. Perry Kendall
