I am writing in support of mandatory, standardized climate risk disclosure. The United States is lagging behind other developed countries and without mandates communicating federal support, innovation and climate solutions in the private sector will not drive at the pace necessary to combat climate change. It's irrefutable that climate change and climate risks have a negative impact on business. Factoring this into the valuation of companies will force entities to adapt and drive the private sector forward through healthy competition. This will be a critical act within a capitalist, globalized society.
