Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my support for S7-10-22, The Enhancement and Standardization of Climate-Related Disclosures for Investors.

As a former CEO of both privately held and publicly traded corporations, I can appreciate the importance of this well-organized and uniform information disclosure. As a private investor, I see this becoming another key metric to be assessed when considering an investment.

The benefits have numerous facets, including the obvious risk assessment as performed by anyone from a private investor such as I, through the entire spectrum out to large public pension funds or hedge funds. The availability of this uniform data reporting creates efficiencies when comparing various investment options.

But there is also priceless implicit value created, which I believe at a national and global level, is equally important. As humans we pay attention to that which is measured and reported. When a corporate team is obligated to think through these climate-related issues and report on a regular basis, the potential for both corporate self-discovery and improvement becomes an inculcated skill and a national asset.

Of course, maintaining par within the competitive landscape and not falling behind other nations on this financial metric is an additional reason that I support this proposed rule.
