The stock market and markets in general is less regulated than ebay or auction house.

I didn't even know that the SEC doesn't even regulate trading like this.

Why are public shares traded in dark pools? These are public companies and sold to the publi investors so evey share and ownership should be made public.. If they don't want to make it public they shouldn't be public companies.

Also, companies should have updated shareholder list available on real time with brokers. Also, there should be a minimum opening of shares. it rediculous to see so much wash trading. Unless the trader is closing the trade there is no reason to open a posittion of less than $1000. The stock market isn't a flea market.
