I am a independent filmmaker. I would like to use your new rules to raise funding for a new project. My needs are very small in relationship to everything that I am reading regarding 'crowdfunding' under the new JOBS Act.
Everything that you are addressing is in the millions and millions of dollars.

What about the little guy (i mean the little guy). The filmmaker who wants to raise $100K to make his dream a reality. I don't want to go through a big ordeal to do this and thought that the new JOBS Act was going to help.
I don't see how if one was to limit investors to relatively small amounts (say $500 each) would really make a big difference. If I could get 200 people to invest $500 each I could make my film and they could legally be owners of the film and if we see a profit then they would benefit. Up until the possibility of the JOBS Act making this a legal reality nothing like this has been possible.

What can you say to this? What about the little guy?
