Good Morning Ms. Mary Jo White,
My name is Jason and I have a startup that helps users find and rent the best apartments for them in New York City! My company also known as Skylight is pushing for crowdfunding but we heard about equity crowdfunding for non-accredited investors but can’t find any specific information regarding Title III. We have several interested, non-accredited investors. How do we go about this? Congress voted on the JOBS Act back in 2012 but there has been no published literature about how to handle these types of investors and what is allowed. This is putting a gigantic roadblock on my business plan because we would be looking to hire 3 more people to the team, push advertisements, and hire a salesforce to scale while providing job opportunities!
I beg you and Congress to make the decision on Title III so that I can get some clarity! We need these published so that we can go ahead with our roadmap!
