October 30, 2022 To Whom It May Concern: I write today in support of the proposed Release No. 3494313 File No. S70822 Short Position and Short Activity Reporting by Institutional Investment Managers. For too long there has been a lack of transparency and timely reporting from institutions that hold massive positions. As an individual trader, that obfuscation and murky reporting has eroded much of my confidence in our \"free market\". I hope more rules such as this are passed and that penalties are not statically set. In order to stop the systemic abuse, fines must scale in severity with the positions taken and frequency of infraction. Thank you for your time.
