Short selling information should be made publicly available as often as technologically possible ideally to the second.

Short selling directly affects retail traders who do not have the ability that large corporations and hedge funds have on a regular basis and not reporting this information should be considered illegal and fraudulent. Short selling directly affects the prices of securities negatively and, at best, should be considered gambling but more than likely is used to suppress the securities' price.
