October 29, 2022 As of now, Hedge funds(and other financial organization) that do short selling only have to report it once a month. This allow for abuse of short selling. Finalize this rule to make the reporting more frequently. There also need to be public disclosure of ETF shorting activity since shorting ETF's can be done as a way to avoid short selling a stock directly.
