Good Morning, As a Retail Investor we only have a few tools to use to make informative decisions on which companies and assets we should be investing in. Short positions and activities allow us to see how heavily a stock is being shorted to get an idea of how well our positions will perform. To not have reliable or accurate data does us more harm than good. The Market should always be as transparent and fair as possible. Retail investors are trusting the rules to help grow their portfolios and life savings. We have kids that need to go to college, medical expenses, and homes to buy. We can only trust these markets if they are fair and reliable. It would be impossible to invest in a market knowing that it could self implode every 15 years.
