As an international investor, I find this proposed rule truly disheartening. This proposed rule does nothing good for retail, as it only seems to be designed to further the can kicking whilst keep operating with obscene amounts of FTDs
$50,000usd might not mean a ton for the average US investor but in my country that's a lot of money and it would hurt a ton to just pull my money of your markets because the SEC just doesn't wanna deal with actual transparency and accountability.
I do hope this rule never sees the light of the day.
