Short position visibility is important to all investors as it allows me to make decisions on stocks based on the sentiment from shorts/longs. This information not being public does not allow me to make a fair trade in the open market. It is fine for others to not like a particular stock/want to short it. But it is only fair I know this when I enter into my trade as well. dark pools/shorting/sentiment need to be available for all to have fair and orderly markets
