I would like to personally thank the SEC for this new rule change to short positions in the market. As Im sure you are aware market makers and hedge funds have been abusing the T-2 system for a long time now. They use it to their advantage to leverage themselves and harm honest retail investors. In order for retail investors to maintain any faith in our US stock market this change must be strictly implemented in order to put an end to what has been an unfair, non transparent market for honest, hardworking, retail investors. Retail investors are grateful for this much needed rule change.
