It has always been "common knowledge" that the SEC is the defender of transparency when it comes to anything Wall Street. This proposal, however, takes us in exactly the wrong direction. By cloaking the investment activities of a huge percentage of the professional fund managers, the SEC is proposing what is just one step shy of legalizing insider trading without providing disclosure. If anything, we should be providing MORE transparency in the markets and this proposal does just the opposite.
