You're telling me that there are managers dealing with so much assets that the AUM had to be raised not just a little, but 350 times the original amount? And keeping that amount of information obfuscated is good for the American investor and by extension, economy? It's a recipe for rampant corruption. The SEC's self stated mission is to maintain fair markets, what benefit does this level of opacity carry for anyone but the hyper wealthy?
