I appreciate the attempt at governmental abuse to bully retail traders even more. Maybe instead of that you actually do your job and pass regulations that make things fair for all, not just the rich people who pay you. I understand it's hard not to be a sellout, and not taking extra money is very difficult. If you struggle with those things, maybe a different career path is better suited for you.
