This is a horrible proposal that benefits no one. The supposed cost saves are minimal while the reduced transparency will have a cost for the financial system. The markets in this country operate as efficiently as they do thanks to a system with more transparency than others around the world. Reducing this in any measure will have a cost for the markets that is not quantifiable but is nevertheless very meaningful. Reject this proposal in the interest of having a better functioning financial system and a lower cost of capital for companies that this engenders.
