I am not in favor of this new ruling and suggest that the SEC keep the current notification system in place. I am very concerned that this modernizating ruling will create less transparency in reporting and actually drive up system cost. Many people, especially the most vunerable - the poor and ederly, don't have reliable access to the internet. In this age of constant cyber attacks, hackers and spam, many people are forced to change thier email address causing them to miss critically important information. The fact that the document will be printed whether by the SEC or by the individual at home - means that the system cost will go up. It is much cheaper for the government to print in mass quantities than indivduals collectively. The net result is that more paper will be used and the consumer will bear the higher cost of printing. This is a very bad idea that I strongly disagree with.
