To the Secretary:
I am supportive of Rule 30e-3. I think it is beneficial for both the Fund community and investor community as a whole with easier accessibility and reducing the burdens associated with paper copies.
I am highly surprised by the overwhelming opposition to this rule until it became apparent that the majority of the 100+ submissions come from those who work in the paper, envelope or printing press industries. I respect their concerns about job security and the impact that this will have on their businesses, but I find it deplorable to mask their ultimate motivation with stories around elder, disabled and minority investors whom do not have access to the Internet.
I sincerely hope that you do not remove a valid and cost-savings proposal from the regulation as a result of the feedback from such a small but vocal representation of investors.
