Please reinstate one of the uptick rule options. When I first studied this rule while in graduate school in the 80s, it seemed like one of the most common sense trading rule possible. Yet, seemingly without public knowledge, it just disappeared. I can see no reason for removing the uptick rule and every justification for reinstating it.
