As an new employee up a role as a senior executive I have been an investor for over a half century. I retired in 1985 as Executive Vice President, Office Office of the Chairman of a NYSE listed company.

As a long time investor I have never been more concerned about my investments that when the SEC eliminated the "up tick" rule, except when the removal came into play during the rather rapid demise of Lehman Brothers.

Please implement the new SHO rule to prevent manipulation during the next economic downturn.
