While I hope that the Chairman has this on her plate of things to examine, I cannot emphasize how important I believe it is for the equity markets to put the uptick rule back in place. It is an important governor on the system and volatility since its removal in 2007 has spiked. I do not feel it is a coincidence, and that faith in the equity markets would increase with the rule back in place.
Please reinstate the uptick rule immediately.
