Subject: Uptick Rule Reinstatement Request

Dear Chairman Mary Schapiro,
My understanding is that one of the greatest errors in financial judgment by the Bush
Administration was the elimination of theuptick”!rule. It has led to unnecessary ravages in the
financial markets and the stocks in my IRAs.
Along with my personal accounts, many other US citizes pension funds, personal savings and
much more have been decimated. Please create effective rules and provide the necessary
resources to protect our pension, 401k and saving accounts and bring back theuptick”!rule.
