This email is to encourage the SEC to reinstate the original Uptick Rule. Long term investors should be protected by a regulatory structure that supports investing in companies for the long term. The current rules and proposed modification do not protect investors, instead they foster short term trading that does nothing but line the pockets of those who want quick profits and don't give damn about the millions of folks who have their nest eggs invested for the long term.
