To Whom It May Concern:

One single piece of regulation on its own is not likely to cause or prevent a depression or recession. However, it is quite evident that the removal of the Up-tick Rule, which has worked so well for the past 70 years, and which was specifically implemented during the time of the Great Depression for the sole purpose of preventing a similar depression, was removed, at best, for the sake of advancing special interest at the detriment our countrys economy.

At some point, the government must protect the overall system against special interests, in order to, at the very least, prevent the entire economic system from collapsing, much as a parasite should not kill its host, at least so that the parasite itself can prolong it own life span.

The Up-tick Rule must be re-instated.

Thank you.

Best regards,
