PLEASE reinstate the uptick rule. No need to modify it. The rule from 1938 served the markets exceedingly well for 60 years. The short sellers have wrecked havoc on our markets and our overall economy. The lack of an uptick rule allows them to ruthlessly drive good companies of all sizes into the ground. THIS MUST STOP
Also, how about enforcing your rules against naked short selling?? The rules are ignored because the SEC turns a blind eye to it. Naked short selling is illegal. (When was the last time the SEC pursued a naked short seller?)Investigate and prosecute those breaking the law
